Following the success of the film, the actress is said to be flooded with offers from Kollywood film-makers to star in their films. She is already playing the lead role opposite Jiiva in Gautham Menon's Needhanae En Ponvasantham which has
been in the making for the past some time now.
After last year's moderate hit Baana Kathadi, Samantha didn't get as many offers in Tamil as per her liking and she, therefore, moved to Tollywood where she got a handful of offers. This year has been particularly good for her with Dookudu proving to be a super success at the box-office. Reports emanating from Tollywood say that she has now hiked her fee to Re.1 crore per film.
Now that Samantha is being courted by Kollywood's leading producers and directors, it is hoped that her second innings in Tamil would turn out to be as successful as Anuskha's. Vikram is working hard for his next flick Karikalan even as he is gearing up for his forthcoming Raja Paattai. While Raja Paattai is an action masala, Karikalan is a socio fantasy on the lines of Gladiator and Troy.
The movie is set to recreate two major historical cities of the Chola dynasty, called Kaveripoompattinam and Urayur with the help of CG based on the references.
Karikalan will take the audiences back 2000 years to the era of Karikal Cholan. Vikram has three heroines, namely, Zarine Khan, Mithra Kurien and Radhika Apte.

Things are happening very fast for B Unnikrishnan's new Mohanlal project 'Grandmaster'. Within days of the allotment of Tatkal dates for the movie by superstar Mohanlal, the crew has already finalised the three heroines for the film. The movie will also provide the platform for Sonia Aggarwal to land into Mollywood playing the main heroine. Two other Tamil heroines, Andrea and Vega will be the other two female leads of the movie.
Expected to kick start the shoot by the second week of November, the production crew is yet to fix the locations, as the location scouting is still on. 'Grandmaster' will be the first production of UTV, famous for their big movies in Bollywood.
Trisha is unhappy over reports that she is to play Tollywood star Mahesh Babu's sister-in-law in a Telugu film. In the film industry, it is well known that the sister-in-law and sister roles are considered to be offered to heroines who do not have opportunities.
Trisha says that she is not in such a position as she has several good offers in her kitty at the moment. The heroine is currently busy with the Tamil film Samaran, in which she is paired opposite Vishal. Ram charan Tej and Upasana Kamineni are getting engaged on December 1, according to an announcement made by Chiranjeevi on Diwali.
However, the engagement is apparently not taking place at the much-publicized Domakonda Fort which is still under renovation, but at the Reddy's farmhouse near Chilukur which is being spruced up for the event, says a reliable source .
