 This film has pushed the other films back on the day of its release in Chennai. The Telugu and Hindi film industries have been approaching Udhayanidhi Stalin to acquire the remake rights of this film in the respective languages.

When asked Udhayanidhi Stalin about this, he said, "We will not be giving the remake rights to anyone in the Telugu film industry. We will dub this film in Telugu and release it. Talks are going with the Hindi film industry regarding the remake rights. Many production houses including Eros have approached us to acquire the remake rights. We have so far not given the Hindi rem ake rights to anyone."

Kochadaiyaan in Kerala

The first schedule of shooting of Kochadaiyaan was completed in London. Now the second schedule of shooting is taking place in Kerala. Sequences pertaining to Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone were shot in Chitranjali Studios owned by Kerala State Government.

 While the shooting is going on one side, the post production work of Kochadaiyaan has also commenced at Vismayas Max Studios owned by actor Mohanlal.

No one is permitted to carry the cell phones and cameras inside the Vismayas Max Studios where the animation works of Kochadaiyaan is going on. Director Soundarya is very strict that no sequences should be leaked out.

While shooting in London, Aadhi was denied visa and be cause of this he was not able to participate in the shooting which took place in London. Now Aadhi is participating in the shooting which is taking place in Kerala. It has been planned to complete all the portions pertaining to Rajni, Deepika and Aadhi in Kerala itself. Aadhi is very cheerful because he is acting with super star Rajnikanth.

 It is understood that he has acquired the rights for Rs 24.11 Crores and will also be spending Rs 2 Crores for promotion of this film. Producer Sunir Kheterpal while speaking about this said, "Aascar Ravichandran has acquired the Tamil Nadu rights of Billa 2.

Apart from Kerala, theatrical rights of other States have been sold out for a good price. The promo work of Billa 2 will be done in a fully fledged manner from the month of May."
