Rajinikanth is called as ‘Appa’ by Deepika Padukone?

We all know that, the filming of the movie 'Kochadaiyaan' is on in good pace. This features Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, R Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff, Nasar, Aadhi and many others. Soundarya R.Ashwin is directing this flick.

Soundarya R.Ashwin, Rajinikanth's daughter and Deepika Padukone seemed to be developing special bond with each other. This movie features Rajni and Deepika in the lead roles. In this film, Deepika is paired with superstar who is double of her age.

Deepika Padukone has been addressing Rajinikanth as 'Appa' (Father) off the screen. This was witnessed when Deepika used the opportunity to thank Soundarya through Twitter for making her feel extremely comfortable in the sets of this film.

Soundarya tweeted, "Hey guys. back in Chenna i after an awesome 2nd schedule in Kerala..Finished some good work. was gr8 working with Deepika? She is such a darling (sic)."

Deepika replied to this tweet message and said, "@sound_a_rajini thank u for making me feel so comfortable & for being such a wonderful director! Lots of love to amma and appa & see you soon (sic)."

Soundarya tweeted back and replied that, "@deepikapadukone :):) It was a pleasure directing you! Will see you soon for sure Lots of love from Appa amma and the whole unit!!! Big hug! (sic)."

Though, this is considerably a personal thing between Rajinikanth, his family and Deepika Padukone, it would be interesting to see the manner, in which Superstar's fans would react to this news.

Siddarth joins hands with Dayanidhi Azhagiri and Vetrimaaran

Siddharth's last release in Tamil was 'Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Yeppadi' ('KSY'). As this film became a good hit, Siddarth has become even more selective in choosing his films. He is presently involved in the Hindi remake of 'KSY'.

After hearing lots of stories, Siddarth has finally signed a new Tamil film. This yet to be titled movie is directed by Manigandan, an ex-assistant of Vetrimaaran.

It is jointly produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri and Vetrimaaran as a joint venture between their companies Meeka Entertainment (Sister Production Company of Cloud Nine Movies) and Grass Root Film Company.

Meeka Entertainment would have broader scope than Cloud Nine. Dayanidhi posted the following message in his blog that: "Very excited about this new venture of mine Meeka Entertainment. Its perspective is going to be much broader in terms of en tertainment, media and communications".

Maatran to be released soon

Maatran is a film which has Surya and Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles. This film is being directed by K V Anand who earlier gave the hit film Ko. The story of this film is based on twins.

The shooting of this film which took place in various parts of Russia is almost coming to an end. The film was supposed to be released during summer vacations but due to FEFSI problems, the shooting was delayed.

A song sequence featuring 500 dancers was shot in Jodhpur deserts in a grandeur way. This is a high budgeted film which has interesting and gargantuan sequences. The shooting of this film is to be completed soon and will be released on an earlier date. Vivek and Isha Sharvani are also acting in this film. Harris Jayaraj is composing music for Maatran.
