'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum', the comeback film of ace director Bharathiraja, is being launched at a grand function in Theni today.
Big guns of Kollywood, including Balachander, Balu Mahendra and Mani Ratnam, will attend the event which has raised a lot of curiosity.
"Bharathiraja has time and again claimed that this movie would be his answer to young filmmakers. And he had invited three top movie makers of Tamil cinema for the launch function. These things have made the event a much talked about one in the industry," says a unit member.
With Ameer, Karthika (of 'Ko' fame) playing the lead roles, the rural movie will have music by young composer GV Prakash. It is said that he has completed a few songs for the film, in association with veteran lyricist Vairamuthu. "This is first time for GV to work with the Kaviperarasu."
Produced by Bharathiraja himself under Manoj Creations banner, 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum' has cinematography by B Kannan, the favourite lensman of the Iyakkumar Imayam. "The rural face of Tamil Nadu will come out in open with all its originality in this film," adds the source.
