Director Seeman is one among the very few from the Kollywood industry who used to raise voice against social issues. The director staged a protest along with MDMK leader Vaiko against the Government of Tamil Nadu for the opening of Kudankulam nuclear plant despite the several protests from people of Tirunelveli .They were also progressing towards Idinthakarai village where 144 is imposed.The police arrested everyone who were progressing towards Idinthakarai village to avoid law and order problems there.
