Vijay is currently acting in Thuppaki while Karthi is acting in Alex Pandian. It has been confirmed that both these films are being released 13th November.

The film Velayudham which had the combo of Vijay and Jayam Raja was released along with Ezham Arivu which had the combo of Surya and A R Murugadoss combo. Both these films were great hits.

Now the film Thuppaki which has Vijay- A R Murugadoss combo is being produced. The film Alex Pandian which has Surya brother Karthi in the lead role is being directed by Sooraj. This film will be clashing with Thuppaki.

The problem related to the title of Thuppaki has not been resolved. The case is pending before the Court. The case which was posted to 10th September has been adjourned to 17th September. It has been decided to release the audio CD of Thuppaki if the title problem is resolved on 17th September.
